Why it exists
The problem it solves
A WooCommerce product gallery shows still images. For products that need to be demonstrated — hardware, tools, clothing in motion, anything with a setup step — a photo leaves the customer guessing.
And when a product has variations, the standard gallery mostly stays on the parent product images, so a customer choosing a colour or a size cannot see what they are actually buying.

YouTube and MP4 video
Add unlimited YouTube embeds or self-hosted MP4 files from the media library to any product.
Per-variation galleries
Pro gives each WooCommerce variation its own gallery of images and videos, and switches the storefront gallery when the customer selects it.
Drag-and-drop ordering
Reorder gallery media in the product editor without touching stored data.
Custom video thumbnails
Set a thumbnail per video, with an automatic YouTube poster as the fallback.
Responsive lightbox
Media opens in a lightbox with keyboard navigation and fullscreen support.

Installation
Getting it running
- 01
Install and activate WooCommerce.
- 02
Upload the plugin in WordPress → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.

Activate the plugin. If Pixreel Free is active, Pro deactivates it automatically.

For Pro, open Pixreel Video Gallery → License and activate your license key.

Edit a product and use the Product Videos metabox, or, for Pro, the Pixreel Pro Variation Gallery inside each variation.

Open Pixreel Video Gallery → Settings to configure behaviour, colours, dimensions and media playback.

Place the gallery with the shortcode, or enable automatic gallery replacement in Pro.
FAQ
Common questions
Does Pixreel replace the WooCommerce gallery automatically?
In the Free version, no — you place the gallery with the shortcode, and the standard WooCommerce gallery keeps working until you do. Pro adds an optional setting to replace the native gallery automatically.
What happens when a customer selects a variation?
In Free, the main gallery image changes to that variation WooCommerce image and the rest of the gallery stays as it is. In Pro, the whole gallery switches to that variation own images and videos, and returns to the parent gallery when the variation is reset.
Do I need the Free plugin installed to run Pro?
No. Pro is the complete plugin and includes all Free features. Do not run both at once.
Where are the videos hosted?
MP4 files come from your WordPress media library. YouTube videos are embedded from YouTube.
Will it slow the store down?
Frontend scripts and styles load only on product pages where the gallery is used.
Is it compatible with HPOS?
Yes. The plugin declares compatibility with WooCommerce custom order tables.
Can I translate it?
Yes. The plugin is translation-ready and ships with a .pot file.
